WSCCOG Participates in COG Forum to Discuss Transportation Ballot Measure
On November 16th, WSCCOG Secretary Mayor Kevin McKeown and WSCCOG Co-Executive Director Katherine Perez-Estolano participated in a COG forum on Metro’s potential 2016 ballot measure and Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). Investing in Place hosted the event, which included topics of discussion such as vision for local return, performance metrics, active transportation, slow streets, transit and defining social equity. Invited guests include CoG staff, elected, Metro staff and Board offices, and community based organizations. Santa Monica Officially Launches Bike Share
Congratulations to the City of Santa Monica for officially launching bike share in the Westside and countywide! On November 12th, WSCCOG joined the City of Santa Monica in ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of City Hall launching the bright green bike share system Breeze.
