PROPOSED WESTSIDE MOBILITY ACTION PLAN

1. Ask your organization to support full funding for Phase 2 of Exposition line. 

2. Ask your organization to support a Red Line extension to the beach. 

3. Westside cities adopt resolutions prohibiting non-emergency peak hour road construction and encroachment permits. Westside cities agree to vigorously enforce peak-hour parking restrictions. 

4. Westside cities direct transportation staffs to meet to improve traffic signal synchronization and coordination. 

5. Establish a Friends of the Red Line to advocate for an extension of the Red Line. 

6. Attempt to develop a consensus around appropriate routes for Metro to study for a Red Line extension. Route should serve all the cities of the Westside with service all the way to the beach and connecting in Santa Monica to the Expo line. 

7. Referral to city managers of a Westside cities consider temporary sales tax increase to support transit improvements. 

8. Establish a coordinated lobbying effort to support Westside transportation improvements. 

9. Support the upcoming state bond measure. 

10. Reconvene this summit on an annual basis.
